Thursday night, June 3rd, 2010, The Three Clubs on Vine played host to the (soon to be annual) Hollywood Fringe Festival Fundraiser Bash. Fringe participants and local artists filtered in throughout the night, enjoying magic by Jon Armstrong, burlesque by Red Snapper, and dancing on the disco-ball lit floor. A silent auction proffered Aveda products, dinner and tickets for two at The Fonda, and other goods while performers mingled and handed out promo postcards for their upcoming shows.
The stars of the evening, however, were The Poxy Boggards, the nine-man-strong “Drinking group with the singing problem” whose knack for audience participation and bawdy lyrics captured the raucous spirit of the evening. Between pouring through the freshly-minted Fringe Guide books and pouring discounted vodka drinks, the event raised funds to support the upcoming fest, which kicks off with another Bash at King King in Hollywood on June 16th., 2010
